THIS MAY PROVE TO BE THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME OF THE SEASON FOR US. A FULL TURNOUT IS REQUIRED.HOWEVER TO SECURE YOUR PLACE IN THE WINNING LINE UP YOU MUST PHONE TO CONFIRM 20078004 .NO EXCEPTION ALLOWED.
Even though I can't play, due to my age and general physical condition, I would be more than willing to come down and offer my support.
Could you confirm if there is a small cafe where I could purchase tea and cucumber sandwiches, or would I be better bringing my own?
Ever since my dear husband died, who was a great cricket fan, I have not been to see a game and I am starting to miss the atmosphere and the noise of a first class game. By reading some of the past reports I am sure I would have great fun.
Would it be possible to be invited to the post match drinks? I don't get out much lately and I do miss male company, it is purely for a quick drink and a chat but I have been reading a bit about Doug on here and he seems like a nice person.
I shall check for a positive response and hopefully see you all tomorrow.
DEAR SHARON,ITS LOVELY YOU HAVE TAKEN SUCH A KEEN INTEREST IN OUR EXPLIOTS. YES THERE IS A SMALL BISTRO AT THE GROUND HOWEVER AS CUCUMBER IS OUT OF SEASON YOU MAY HAVE TO DO WITH A BANANA SANDWICH. I HAVE SPOKEN TO DOUGIE AND HE WOULD BE THRILLED TO MEET SOMEONE IN THE SAME CONDITION AS HIM,HOWEVER HE DOES NOT DRINK SO POST MATCH DRINKS ARE OUT OF THE QUESTION.WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU ON TUESDAY
It's a pity that Doug doesn't drink as I do find it tends to relax people just a little, wouldn't want him too relaxed though. I only tend to have a couple of sherry's myself though or maybe a wine.
Well may I wish good strength to your arms and speed to your legs and hopefully see you all this evening.
